Taproom Lead

Job Type: Part-time to Full-time

About Us

Unleashed Brewing is a community-focused, dog-friendly brewery dedicated to creating great beer and great vibes. We’re looking for a Taproom Lead who’s as passionate about craft beer as they are about creating memorable customer experiences.


Position Overview

The Taproom Lead helps oversee day-to-day taproom operations while supporting social media content, inventory management, and scheduling. This role works closely with ownership to ensure smooth service, consistent branding, and an efficient, welcoming environment. The position will start as part-time and move towards full-time as need arises. Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays is required.


Key Responsibilities

Taproom Operations

  • Lead daily taproom shifts and act as the point person for staff.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming, upbeat environment.

  • Train and support taproom staff on service standards, beer knowledge, and brewery policies.

  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the taproom at all times, including following health and sanitation standards.

  • Support event planning, setup, execution, and tear-down as needed.

  • Ensure adherence to provincial and territorial liquor legislation and regulations

  • Willing to step in to help wherever needed, including other duties as assigned.

  • Follow company policies and procedures.

Social Media & Marketing

  • Create and post engaging content for Instagram and Facebook.

  • Capture in-the-moment photos and videos of taproom happenings, events, new beers, and promotions.

  • Assist with responding to comments and messages.

  • Collaborate on ideas for promotions, events, and fun social content.

Inventory & Ordering

  • Monitor taproom inventory levels (beer, merch, supplies).

  • Place orders for taproom supplies.

  • Track inventory usage and communicate needs proactively.

  • Assist with merchandise restocking, ordering, and organizing displays.

Staff Scheduling

  • Build and manage weekly staff schedules based on events, volume, and availability.

  • Coordinate shift trades, coverage needs, and vacation requests.

  • Communicate clearly and promptly with the team.


Qualifications

  • A friendly, upbeat personality with the ability to make guests feel welcomed and valued.

  • Experience in a taproom, bar, restaurant, or similar customer service role.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • Comfortable using social media platforms and creating basic content.

  • Well-organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.

  • Ability to lift kegs/boxes up to ~55lbs and move confidently in a busy taproom.

  • Must be eligible to legally work in Canada.

  • Have a valid Serving it Right Certification (must be obtained prior to start date)

  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in BC.

  • Bonus: familiarity with craft beer, POS systems, and event coordination.
